One of the best shooters in ORU history, Bontrager was named a 1981 Street and Smith's All-American. He holds the career record at ORU for free throw percentage, hitting 103-117 (.880) from the charity stripe. Bontrager also holds the single season record from the free throw line having connected on 73-81 (.901) for the year.
