FARGO, ND. - The Oral Roberts baseball team heads back on the road as they take on North Dakota State for the second and final time in the regular season.

The Golden Eagles are coming off a four-game split with the St. Thomas Tommies last weekend in a pair of doubleheaders. ORU won the second game of each doubleheader on Friday and Sunday and trailed by two and a half games for first place in the Summit League heading into the weekend. Oral Roberts was scheduled to play against Oklahoma State on Tuesday night, but wasn't canceled due to storms in the area.

North Dakota State has struggled as of late, losing six of their last eight games, however, they beat Minnesota on Tuesday night on the road 6-3. The Bison have dropped their last two conference series, dropping two of three to Northern Colorado two weeks ago and three of four to rival South Dakota State this past weekend.  Â

Scouting the Opponent:
North Dakota State heads into their second series with the Golden Eagles at 15-26, 11-10 in the Summit League, alone in third place. NDSU has struggled of late, losing their last two conference series and six of their last eight contests. The Bison, although the sample size is small, have been better at home, boasting a 5-3 record.

At the dish, is has been Jake Schaffner leading the way for the majority of the season, batting .368 in all 41 games. The pre-season Summit League Player to Watch selection doesn't hit for much power with two homers and 17 RBIs on the season, but he reaches base at a high clip at .431. Schaffner also leads the team with 15 stolen bags on 20 attempts. Colten Becker leads the squad in both homers with four and RBIs with 29 in 39 games with an average of .297. As a team, they bat .254, ranking 267
th nationally, hitting just 25 homers, which is 255
th in the country.

Left-hander Nolan Johnson has been the anchor to the starting rotation for NDSU, leading the starters with a 5.02 ERA and a 4-4 record. In 11 starts, he has thrown 57.1 innings, given up 58 hits, 33 runs, 32 earned, 17 walks, and has struck out 60 batters. In his first appearance against ORU, he threw 5.2 innings, surrendering 6 runs. Righty Logan Knight is right behind him with a 5.56 ERA and one complete game, which came against ORU. In that contest, Knight went the distance, shutting out the Golden Eagles, giving up just three hits, no walks, and striking out a season high seven. As a staff, the Bison sports a 6.90 ERA, putting them at 213
