Inside the Series
• Tuesday's midweek marks the 37th meeting all-time and first since 2018 between the Golden Eagles and Cornhuskers.

• In the series, ORU holds a 21-15 edge all-time. On the road in Lincoln, Nebraska, the Golden Eagles are 5-9. ORU is making its' first trip to Nebraska since 2008.

• ORU enters Tuesday's midweek winners of 11 of their last 12 road contests after taking two of three against Summit League foe Omaha over the weekend. In their last 10 contests, the Golden Eagles are 8-2.

• Ledgend Smith, Cade Denton, Isaac Coffey and Kaleb McCullough combined for 20 shutout innings on Saturday and Sunday en route to the series win on the road. The shutouts were the fourth and fifth of the season for ORU.

• Jackson Loftin led the charge offensively as the redshirt junior recorded two hits in each of the three games, including a two-run home in the series opener. Outfielder Caleb Denny extended his on-base streak to 19 games over the weekend.

• In midweek action this season, ORU is 11-3 and has won five straight. Tuesday night marks the final midweek contest of the year for the Golden Eagles.

• In the Summit League, ORU's offense ranks first in batting average (.298), runs (363), hits (511), doubles (102), triples (17), RBIs (321), slugging percentage (.441), walks (233), on-base percentage (.387) and sacrifice flies (28). On the mound, the Golden Eagles rank first in ERA (3.83), innings pitched (428.0), runs allowed (213) and batting average against (.238).

• Nationally, ORU enters the week ranked 11th in WHIP (1.24), 13th in shutouts (5), 13th in walks allowed per nine innings (3.15), 14th in fielding percentage (0.980), 14th in strikeout to walk ratio (2.99), 15th in ERA (3.83), 19th in sacrifice flies (28), 21st in hits allowed per nine innings (7.99), 27th in triples (17), 32nd in triples per game (0.35), 33rd in WL percentage (.673) and 39th in batting average (.298). 

• Individually in the Summit League, AJ Archambo leads the conference in batting average (.387), while Caleb Denny continues to sit atop the leaderboard in runs (53), hits (67) and RBIs (51). 

• On the bump, Ledgend Smith ranks second in the league in ERA (1.70), opposing batting average (.210) and strikeouts (82). Nationally, Smith ranks ninth in ERA and 36th in WHIP (1.00).

• Isaac Coffey leads the league in walks allowed (11) and opposing batting average against (.209).

• RHP Archambo will get the nod on the mound for the Golden Eagles Tuesday night.

• ORU was selected as the unanimous favorite to retain their regular-season crown in the 2022 Summit League Preseason Coaches' poll, garnering 36 points and all six of the possible first-place votes they could attain.

• Coffey earned plenty of preseason accolades as the junior was selected as the Summit League Preseason Pitcher of the Year by both D1 Baseball and Perfect Game USA. The Goleta, California, native also garnered Preseason All-American honors from the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association and Collegiate Baseball. Joshua Cox was selected as the Summit League Player of the Year by both D1 Baseball and Perfect Game USA. Brooks Fowler garnered Preseason Summit League Freshman of the Year honors from D1 Baseball.

Scouting the Opponent
• Nebraska enters the midweek following a series loss on the road at Illinois over the weekend. In their last 10 contests, the Cornhuskers are 4-6.

• Max Anderson leads the offensive charge for Nebraska as the sophomore has launched a team-best eight homers and driven in 37 RBIs. The infielder also holds a .285 batting average and has swiped six bags.

• On the year, Nebraska is 6-4 in midweek action.

• The Cornhuskers were picked to win the Big 10 Conference in the preseason coaches poll but currently sit 10th in league play.
