TULSA, Okla. – Due to the inclement weather that will bear down on Tulsa this weekend, the Oral Roberts baseball team has moved their series against DBU to Dallas, Texas. The three game set between the Patriots and Golden Eagles will get underway at 6:30 pm on Friday, March 12. All of the action can be heard on the ORU Sports Network or viewed on the Patriot Broadcasting Network.
 
Saturday will feature a 2:00 pm first pitch and the series finale will get underway at 1:00 pm on Sunday.

About the Opponent

• Dallas Baptist has gotten off to an 8-3 start in the first few weeks of the 2021 season. Last weekend, the Patriots won the Frisco College Baseball Classic with a pair of wins against Missouri and a win over No. 25 Oklahoma in the finale.
• The Patriots swept the Golden Eagles in Tulsa during the shortened 2020 season.
• DBU was picked to win the Missouri Valley Conference in the conference's preseason poll.

• ORU trails the all-time series against DBU, 19-30. The Patriots have taken an advantage in the series in recent years, winning 10 of the last 11 against the Golden Eagles.       
• ORU's Friday win over No. 8 LSU marked the program's first victory over a top-ten opponent since April 15, 2015 – A 15-5 win against No. 10 Oklahoma State.
• Evan Kowalski was named Summit League Pitcher of the Week following a dazzling seven inning relief appearance on Friday in which he allowed just two hits and zero runs.
• Adam Scoggins picked up his first win in a Golden Eagles uniform on Sunday afternoon, while Bradan Pierce added his first save,
• Caleb Denny drove in six runs in the Friday contest for ORU, becoming the first Golden Eagle to have five or more RBI in a game since Riley Keizor had seven on April 26, 2019.
