TULSA, Okla. – Isaac Coffey threw six shutout innings and
Caleb Denny launched the first grand slam of the season as the Oral Roberts baseball team pushed their win streak to six, blanking Pacific, 7-0, Friday afternoon in the series opener at J.L. Johnson Stadium.Â
Coffey struck out six to earn his second win of the season and
Kaleb McCullough registered two strikeouts over three scoreless frames to complete the Golden Eagles' first shutout of the season. The nine-inning shutout was the Golden Eagles' first since May 2, 2021, against South Dakota State.
Denny broke the game open in the sixth with his second career grand slam that bumped the ORU lead to 6-0. The homer was the first of the season for the redshirt sophomore.
The Golden Eagles broke through on the scoreboard in the bottom of the third as
Alec Jones crossed the plate on a wild pitch.Â
Jake McMurray made it 2-0 in the sixth with a sacrifice fly to left-center that brought home
Joshua Cox.Â
An RBI fielder's choice by
Dustin Demeter in the seventh closed out the scoring on the afternoon as the redshirt senior plated Cox to make the final 7-0.

Mac McCroskey extended his hitting streak to nine games after finishing 1-for-3 at the plate.
- Denny drove home a season-high four runs in the contest.
