FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The Oral Roberts track and field teams turned in a strong weekend of competition at the Arkansas Spring Invitational, highlighted by Artwell Magake's record-breaking third-place finish in the men's 1500-meter invitational and multiple personal bests across both programs.
News and Notes
- Artwell Magake earned a podium finish in the Men's 1500m Invitational, clocking a school-record 3:44.81 for third place.
- In the same event, Abraham Chelangam secured fourth place with a time of 3:46.74, while Andrew Smithwick finished 10th.
- Cornelius Kipkogei placed second in the Men's 3000m with a new season best of 8:47.89.
- Nicodemus Rotich took third in the Men's 3000m Steeplechase, running 9:31.09.
- The Oral Roberts men's high jumpers placed well, with Jordan Wenger, Kellen Rutledge, and Keithwood Stubbs all clearing 2.05m, tying for seventh and twelfth.
- Rushell Johnson led the women in the 800m with a fifth-place finish at 2:18.77, a season-best.
- Freshman Ossly Murambidzi and junior Patricia Mazzei went 5-11 in the Women's 1500m, while Hannah Vanderburg rounded out the group in 17th.
- Lukundo Kapambalala ran a season-best 10.40 in the Men's 100m and clocked 21.15 in the 200m.
- In the Men's 800m, Jonah Marvine and Jaxson Brooks posted personal and season bests.
- Theojoshua Baker and Elijah Burk ran personal bests in the Men's 400m Hurdles, with Baker also competing in the 110m Hurdles.
- Seth Meyer also ran a season-best in the Men's 800m, crossing at 1:56.86.
- Woedem Vasmark-Voegborlo placed 12th in the long jump with a leap of 7.05m (23-1¾).
- On the women's side, Kallista Frye ran a season-best in the 100m, and Deborah Mazzei was 9th in the 800m Invitational, running 2:16.48.
- The Men's 4x400m Relay placed 14th with a time of 3:24.51.
