FARGO, N.D. – The Golden Eagles fell to the North Dakota State Bison on Saturday afternoon, capping off their two-game trip to the state of North Dakota.

Taleyah Jones scored 26 points on 9-18 (50%) shooting in the loss, marking her fourth straight game with 20+ points, her fourth straight game leading ORU in scoring and her seventh straight game with 10+ points. Jones also tied her season-high in steals, grabbing a game-high, four.
Jalei Oglesby followed Jones' performance with 21 points of her own, shooting 9-17 from the floor while grabbing eight rebounds.

ORU started hot, going on an 8-0 run to open the game, forcing an NDSU timeout. A quick answer from the Bison had ORU and NDSU tied at 10 with 4:24 left in the first. Back-to-back triples from
Taleyah Jones helped the Golden Eagles extend their lead to six (18-12) before NDSU hit a last second three to cut the lead to four heading into the second (22-18).
Jalei Oglesby opened the second, knocking down a jump shot and a layup before the Bison hit a three with 4:56 to go in the half (28-30). Eight additional points from
Taleyah Jones and six from Oglesby helped the Golden Eagles hold onto a 36-32 lead into the break.
Taleyah Jones kicked off the second half scoring eight points in the first 4:21 of the third quarter while giving ORU an eight-point (46-38) lead.
Emily Robinson also caught fire in the third, scoring eight points of her own, shooting 2-3 from the field and 4-4 from the line. Jalei Ogesby closed the quarter knocking down a contested layup to put the Golden Eagles up five (56-51) heading into the fourth.

Despite a seven-point quarter from
Jalei Oglesby, the Golden Eagles fell short on the afternoon. A 28-point fourth quarter for the Bison led to ORU's fifth loss of the season.
