Record: ORU (13-5), (3-2) – St. Thomas (8-9), (0-5)
Location: Mabee Center (Tulsa, Okla.)

TULSA, Okla. – A thriller at the Mabee Center left the Tommies packing as Taleyah Jones hit a buzzer-beater three to secure a 71-68 win over St. Thomas, moving ORU to 9-1 at home this season.

Jalei Oglesby led ORU in scoring, shooting 9-14 from the field while racking up 21 points in the process. Emily Robinson and Meghan Weinrich each scored 12 points while Taleyah Jones and Makyra Tramble each recorded 11. A 12-rebound performance from Ruthie Udoumoh helped ORU score some clutch baskets down the stretch.

The Golden Eagles opened the game up three after a layup from Megan Weinrich and a trip to the line for Makyra Tramble. The Tommies quickly answered, going on a 6-0 run to put ORU in a three-point hole (3-6). The Golden Eagles shot just 5-18 (27.8%) from the field in the first, with four free throws limiting the damage for ORU, heading into the second quarter down 14-15.

Four straight points for Emily Robinson opened quarter number two, giving the Golden Eagles an 18-15 lead. With 2:52 left in the first half, Meghan Weinrich made a tough layup and a jump shot to give ORU a one-point advantage. Makyra Tramble sealed the first half for the Golden Eagles, hitting a three to give ORU a 31-29 lead.

Coming out of the break, Emily Robinson tacked on two layups before Makyra Tramble hit her second triple of the game to put ORU up nine (40-31). The Tommies closed the quarter on a 7-0 run but the Golden Eagles clung onto a six-point advantage. ORU held St. Thomas to just 27.8% shooting from the field in the third quarter, extending their lead to six (50-44) with ten minutes to play.

An offensive fourth quarter had both ORU and St. Thomas knocking down shots, as the Golden Eagles and Tommies both shot 50% from the field. Despite being outscored in the quarter (21-24), a 10-14 stat line from the charity stripe proved to be the difference as ORU knocked down some clutch free throws down the stretch. A timeout from Head Coach Kelsi Musick with 10 seconds left on the clock led to an eruption in the Mabee Center as Taleyah Jones hit a step-back three to secure ORU's 13th win of the season.
