#ORUMSOC Draws Even Against the Huskies

The Basics
Score: Oral Roberts 2 – Huskies 2
Record: RV/#24 ORU (2-2-3) –  Houston Christian (1-4-2)
Location: Case Soccer Complex

TULSA, Okla. – The ORU men's soccer team returned to the friendly confines of the Case Soccer Complex to host Houston Christian in one the final non-league matchups of the season.

The Golden Eagles would put the pressure on the Huskies early as Omar Mora was able to get three shots off with two being on target. However, stellar play in the midfield by both sides would send the squads into the break even at zero a piece.

Despite the slow start, ORU put HCU into a 2-0 deficit within two minutes of play after Juan Moreno delivered a beautiful ball that Omar Mora was able to bury for his sixth goal of the season. Luis Flores would then draw contact in the box for the second match in a row and kept ORU perfect in penalty kicks, driving a scorcher past the keeper.

The Huskies were able to mount an admirable comeback after a VAR call went their way giving them a goal off a penalty kick of their own and an equalizer in the 80th minute off of a header.

ORU looked to get back in the win column with a game-winner in the final 10 minutes but would remain undefeated in this week of action with two draws
