NORMAN, Okla.– The Oral Roberts baseball team ended the 2024 campaign at the Norman Regional Saturday afternoon at L. Dale Mitchell Park. Playing in an elimination game against the number two seeded Duke Blue Devils, the Golden Eagles were unable to extend the season another day coming up short in a 6-2 loss.

Brooks Fowler would take the mound for ORU and the righty would deliver another clutch postseason outing for the Golden Eagles as he held a regional host-worthy lineup to one run through five innings. 

Duke eventually was able to pull away with four-run sixth inning but the bats started to come alive for ORU as Kyle Booker connected on a solo shot en-route to a three-hit game.

The Blue Devils extended the lead to five runs in the eighth but Alex Rodgers got that run right back with his second homer of the season.

Despite success from the long ball the Blue Devils were able to limit the damage with runners on base and keep ORU's lineup at bay to seal the win
