DALLAS, Texas – The Oral Roberts baseball team fell, 3-0, in its series finale against Dallas Baptist Sunday afternoon from Horner Ballpark in Dallas, Texas.
 
Brooks Fowler suffered his first loss of the season despite registering his third quality start of the year. The sophomore allowed two runs over six strong innings and matched his career-high for strikeouts with six. 

An RBI fielder's choice in the bottom of the first opened the scoring for DBU as they jumped in front 1-0. An RBI single in the third and an RBI double in the seventh rounded out the scoring for the Patriots as they claimed the finale, 3-0.

The Golden Eagles threatened in the seventh as they loaded the bases with two outs but were unable to push across a run. In the ninth, ORU brought the tying run to the plate with only one out but a fielder's choice followed by a strikeout ended the scoring threat.

Inside the Box Score
- Drew Stahl and Holden Breeze each totaled two hits on the afternoon.
- ORU left eight runners on base and were 0-for-5 with runners in scoring position.
- Fowler matched his career-high with six strikeouts.
- In relief, Caleb Isaacs and Cade Denton made appearances.
- Denton threw 1.2 scoreless frames out of the bullpen.
