COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Oral Roberts baseball team capped off a perfect four-game road trip with a 7-3 midweek victory over Air Force Academy Monday afternoon in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
With the win, the Golden Eagles have now won five straight contests and nine in a row on the road. The victory also marked the 2,000th in program history.

AJ Archambo picked up the win in relief to improve to 5-1 on the season after tossing three scoreless innings and striking out two.

The Golden Eagles opened the scoring for a fifth straight game as
Caleb Denny blasted a solo shot to right field in the first.

The Falcons answered with a solo home run of their own in the bottom half of the frame to even the score, 1-1.

Brody Gibson put ORU back in front, 2-1, with an RBI double down the right-field line in the second. The senior later scored on an RBI single from
Jake McMurray to push the lead to 3-1.

Air Force matched the Golden Eagles in the bottom half of the frame to level the score, 3-3.

In the third,
Holden Breeze put ORU up for good, 4-3, with an RBI single through the left side. An error by the Falcons' first baseman allowed two more Golden Eagle runs to score in the frame, extending the lead to 6-3.

Another Falcons error in the fifth led to the final run of the contest as ORU went on to win 7-3.
Inside the Box Score
- Denny finished the afternoon 2-for-5 at the dish with a solo homer.
- Breeze tallied the other multi-hit performance for ORU going 2-for-4 with a walk.
- Seven of the nine Golden Eagles in the lineup recorded a hit.

Jackson Loftin and
Brody Gibson each tallied a game-best two walks in the win.
- Loftin extended his on-base streak to 18 games.

Connor Beichler stole his 11th bag of the season in the win.

Jakob Hall earned his first career start and went four innings, allowed three runs (one earned) and struck out two.
- Archambo punched out two over three scoreless frames to pick up the win.

- The sophomore has now thrown 20 consecutive scoreless innings.

- Monday's midweek was the first meeting all-time between the Golden Eagles and Falcons.
