OGDEN, Utah - Weber State hit a buzzer beater
to end the first half and a 3-pointer with 2.4 seconds to play in
the game as Oral Roberts University lost 62-61 to the Wildcats at
the Dee Events Center Monday night.
ORU (2-4) faltered down the stretch, missing a pair of free
throws with 16 seconds left and was called for a travel trying to
inbound the ball with 1.8 to play. The Golden Eagles led for 32:54
in the game and led by as many as eight but could never put away
the Wildcats, who were hot from long range, hitting 10 3-pointers
in the game.
ORU got 17 points from Korey
Billbury and 10 points from Adrion
Webber, and shot 55 percent in the second half, but hit just
3-of-8 attempts from 3-point range. Behind Drew
Wilson's eight rebounds, Obi
Emegano's seven and Brandon
Conley's six boards, ORU out-rebounded WSU 35-33, including
a19-14 edge in the second half.
WSU had 16 points from Richaud Gittens, who was a perfect 4-4
from 3-point range in the game. Chris Golden added 15 points and
Joel Bolomboy grabbed a game-high 12 rebounds.

to be tough enough to step to the free throw line and make shots

Turning Point
Jeremy Senglin's 3-pointer with two seconds to play
was the 10th and final lead change of the game, putting Weber State
up 62-61.

Oral Roberts: Korey
Billbury had a game-high 17 points, while Adrion
Webber matched his season high with 10 points.
Drew
Wilson had his most productive game of the season with
eight points and eight rebounds.
Weber State: Richaud Gittens had 16 points, Chris
Golden added 15 and Joel Bolomboy grabbed
a game-high 12 rebounds.
