enough as St. Mary's handed Oral Roberts University its fourth
consecutive loss, winning 3-2 (30-23, 30-20, 23-30, 23-30, 18-16)
on Saturday at the Oregon State University Salbasgeon Suites
Invitational.
After losing games one
and two, ORU (2-5) won the next two games to knot the match at two
games apiece. St. Mary's (6-0) pulled out an 18-16 verdict in game
five to gain the victory.
Zuzic enjoyed her
second consecutive strong showing in Corvalis, adding 15 digs,
three service aces and a pair of block assists. Becky Dreher added 14 kills
and 30 digs, while Kim
Snow pulled off a triple-double with 10 kills, 22 assists
and 11 digs.
The Golden Eagles
continue play on Saturday against Auburn at 7:30 p.m.
