ORU captured its third straight victory with a 3-0 (30-26, 30-18,
30-22)
triumph over Louisiana Tech in non-conference volleyball action at
the Thomas
Assembly Center Friday evening.
ORU (8-9) hit .282 as a team and limited Tech (5-10) to a .073 team
hitting
percentage in posting its third consecutive three-game sweep.
Ori Zuzic again led ORU with 22 kills, while Becky Dreher added a
match-high 22 digs.
Dreher entered the week tops in NCAA Division I with 6.96 digs per
game.
Coach Sheera Sirola's squad also got productive outings from Kim
Snow (.360 attack
pct., 13 kills), Maja Devic (.500 attack pct., 9 kills, 3 block
solos, 2 block assists), and
Brittany Arnold (.462 attack pct., 7 kills, 32 assists, 7
digs).
The Golden Eagles are now 2-0 against WAC teams (also defeated
Fresno State, 3-1
on Sept. 18) and will return to Mid-Con action Saturday at
Centenary. The match
against the Ladies is slated to begin at 3 p.m.
