The Oral Roberts men's soccer program has hired Saif Alsafeer as their new Associate Head Coach heading into the 2025 season.
"I am truly honored and excited to join the men's soccer family at Oral Roberts University," Alsafeer said. "I am eager to contribute to the storied success of the program and continue building on the Christ-centered culture that exists in ORU men's soccer. A special thank you to
Ryan Bush and
Tim Johnson for their support and belief in my passion for using soccer as a platform to enhance the lives of young people and push them towards the Cross."
Alsafeer brings extensive experience and success from the NAIA level. He began his career as an assistant coach at Florida College in 2013. The following season, he rapidly ascended into the head coach position and remained there until 2019, when he went 88-22-7.
At Florida College, he received the 2018 SSAC Coach of the Year award and the 2017 USCAA Coach of the Year award. He produced 10 all-Americans and 16 all-conference players and completed two undefeated regular seasons.
He then became the head coach at Dalton State College in 2019 where the accolades kept coming. Alsafeer won the 2024 NAIA National Championship going 22-0-2 on their way to there. He was awarded the 2024 NAIA Coach of the Year award as well as Staff of the Year Awards from USC National and USC South. In addition to the national title Dalton State would capture three conference championships under Alsafeer and he'd produce 17 players of the year in the SSAC.
"I am excited that Saif has accepted the role of Associate Head Coach. Throughout the process he continued to emerge as the right fit for ORU, our Men's Soccer Program, and the culture that has been built," Head Coach
Ryan Bush said. "Saif's ultimately a winner and has proven it everywhere he has been. From winning a national championship, being the national coach of the year, and placing multiple players into the professional ranks. His product and consistency are a testament to not just building championship teams but championship programs."
