ST. PAUL, Minn. – In their regular season finale, the Golden Eagles fell to 22-7 on the season and 12-4 in Summit League play in a 76-79 loss to St. Thomas.
 
Taleyah Jones had yet another impressive performance, scoring 25 points on 8-19 shooting. Makyra Tramble, Jalei Oglesby and Megahn Weinrich all finished in double figures, tallying 14,13 and 11 points, respectively. The trio each grabbed five rebounds while Weinrich carded five steals. Ruthie Udoumoh came up just short of a double-double, recording nine points and 11 boards on the night.
 
The Golden Eagles opened the game in a slump, shooting just 5-17 from the field in the first frame. Taleyah Jones opened the quarter with a triple before Makyra Tramble knocked down three of ORU's next four field goals, racking up eight early points. The Golden Eagles trailed 14-21 after one.

Six points from Jalei Oglesby and five from Taleyah Jones helped ORU outscore the Tommies 18-10 in the second. Jalei Oglesby scored four of the Golden Eagles' six points before Taleyah Jones made an and-one layup with 5:13 to play in the half. ORU came up scoreless in the final 2:37 of the quarter, heading into the break leading 32-31.
 
Three free throws from the Golden Eagles were the only ORU points put on the board during the first 6:05 of the third quarter. Things ramped up after a Taleyah Jones three and Jalei Oglesby jumper as the Golden Eagles sparked an 11-4 run. In the final 3:55 of the third, ORU scored 14 points, heading into the final ten minutes knotted up a 49.
 
The fourth quarter was an offensive shootout, with ORU scoring 27 points to St. Thomas' 30. The Golden Eagles were forced into a fouling situation down 71-77 with 16 seconds to play, trading free throws for possessions. It didn't end up being enough at the end of the night as ORU fell 76-79 at Schoenecker Arena.

Oral Roberts: Taleyah Jones scored 25 points on the outing, shooting 8-19 from the field and 3-8 from deep.
 
St. Thomas: Jo Langbehn scored 28 points on 10-13 shooting, knocking down eight free throws in the process.
