Lexington, Kent. – In his first NCAA and ORU Soccer appearance, Omar Mora would have a debut to remember netting a brace, but the #22 Wildcats would escape with a narrow 3-2 win.
 
 Kentucky kicked off the back-and-forth affair with a goal in the 11th minute, but 10 minutes later Mora would level the game back up with a goal off an assist from Jose Estrada. Both teams would keep each other at bay for the last 25 minutes of the second half with each attack failing to pull ahead.

Scoring would cease to come at premium as the Wildcats were able to take the lead after a scrum in the penalty box resulting in a red card for ORU. Suddenly down a man with the momentum towards the home side, the Golden Eagles refused to go out quietly into the night as Mora would get by UK's keeper to get ORU an equalizer 

However, Kentucky was quickly able to respond with a goal in the ensuing kick-off and was able to hold off multiple late ORU attacks to secure the victory.
