KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Oral Roberts women's basketball team closed out the 2023-24 regular season with a, 94-56, win at Kansas City to clinch their 20th win of the season.
In just her second year at the helm, Head Coach Kelsi Musick has led the Golden Eagles to their first 20-win season since 2011-12.

Jalei Oglesby scored a game-high 22 points off the bench and Emily Robinson secured her second double-double of the year. Oglesby recorded her fifth game of the season reaching 20 points and Robinson dished out a career-high 10 assists, the most assists by a Golden Eagle this year. Taleyah Jones (18) and Hannah Cooper (14) rounded out the players in double-figures.

UMKC started out hot in the first quarter, taking a quick 7-0 lead in the opening minutes. ORU responded with a 6-0 run of its own as both teams went into the media timeout knotted 11-11. Oglesby knocked down a jumper out of the break to give the Golden Eagles the lead, and they never looked back. Oglesby scored 10 of her 22 points in the first quarter alone as the Golden Eagles led 26-23 after the first quarter.

Freshman guard Gentry Baldwin knocked down a left wing three on the opening possession of the second quarter to extend the lead to six. Off a Weinrich steal, Robinson found Cooper in the left corner as she drained a three to push the lead to double digits. ORU led 45-30 after the first 20 minutes of play. Robinson had seven points and eight assists at the break enroute to her second career double-double.

A 6-0 run to begin the third period sparked a quick timeout by the Roos. The stoppage wouldn't slow down the Golden Eagles, though, as they extended their run to 15-0. After a 22-point quarter, ORU led 67-41.

ORU maintained a consistent level of intensity throughout the fourth quarter as they continued to dominate on both ends of the floor. Robinson recorded her 10th assist after she found a cutting Jones in the paint. Oglesby crossed the 20-point mark with 3:25 remaining after converting on a layup in the paint. Freshman forward Tara Biocanin scored the first points of her collegiate career with a floater in the paint. The Golden Eagles cruised to their 20th win of the season defeating UMKC, 94-56.
