#ORUWBB Wins Ninth Straight at Home

TULSA, Okla. – The Oral Roberts women's basketball team defeated North Dakota, 71-55, behind 17 points off the bench from Jalei Oglesby to extend their home winning streak to nine games.

Oglesby filled up the scoring column tonight with a 17 point outing on 8-of-15 shooting. Oglesby reached double-digits for the first time in three games as she found her groove on offense tonight.

Emily Robinson (14), Taleyah Jones (10), and Ruthie Udoumoh (10) rounded out the Golden Eagles in double-figures. Robinson scored nine of her 14 in the second half as the freshman continues to produce on offense. Jones scored eight of her 10 points in the final 20 minutes while collecting five steals on the night. Udoumoh recorded her eighth double-double of the season scoring 10 points and grabbing 13 rebounds over UND.

The night started out slow for both programs as ORU trailed 13-14 after the first quarter. Robinson scored her five points in the quarter to lead the Golden Eagles. Nakiyah Hurst got to work early for the Fighting Hawks as she scored seven points in the first quarter of play.

ORU opened the second quarter on a 5-0 run thanks to baskets from Hannah Cooper and Oglesby. UND took a brief two point lead at the 5:46 mark after another layup in the paint by Hurst. Udoumoh instantly responded with her own strong take to the basket where she converted on the bucket and the foul. Oglesby ended the quarter scoring nine of her 17 points in the second period alone. The Golden Eagles went into halftime ahead 29-28.

The Golden Eagle's offense broke through in the third quarter of play scoring 26 points. Robinson kicked off the second half connecting on back-to-back triples 31 seconds into the third quarter. UND would not go quietly as it responded with a 6-0 run of its own. Jones and Robinson kept ORU ahead with their high scoring third quarter of play. Robinson scored nine of her 14 points while Jones scored eight of her ten points in the third period. ORU held a 55-41 lead at the break.

Between the 2:12 mark in the third quarter and the 8:33 mark of the fourth, ORU strung together a 19-0 run to break open the game. Five Golden Eagles made their way onto the scoring sheet in the final 10 minutes. ORU's second half run propelled itself to a game-high 21 point lead with 8:49 remaining. Oglesby and the Golden Eagles maintained their distance from the Fighting Hawks and strung together key defensive stops to take control. ORU went onto win the Thursday night matchup 71-55.

The Leaders
 
Oral Roberts: Oglesby poured in a team-high 17 points off the bench. Udoumoh grabbed a game-high 13 rebounds on the way to her eighth double-double of the season while Cooper led the way with three assists.
 
North Dakota: Borowicz paced UND in all three major categories tonight scoring 19 points, grabbing 11 rebounds, and dishing out two assists.
