HOUSTON – The No. 24 Oral Roberts men's soccer team tied Thursday evening's match at Houston Christian, 1-1, in Houston, Texas.
After a scoreless first half, the Golden Eagles had out-shot the Huskies, 10-5, and had six shots on goal and held HCU to just one that came in the 33
rd minute.
Despite playing a man down after a red card in the 58
th minute, Houston Christian scored first in the 67
th minute to take a 1-0 lead. Ryan Okerayi put his team ahead when captured his third goal of the season. His goal was unassisted.
Trailing with six minutes to play,
Luis Flores tied the game for ORU when he scored his fifth goal of the season in the 84
th minute.
Reed Berry was credited with the assist. The Golden Eagles out-shot the Huskies, 12-5, in the second half and had six shots on goal compared to HCU's two.
