TULSA, Okla. – The Oral Roberts women's soccer team dominated their way to a 4-0 victory against Tarleton State Thursday night at the Case Soccer Complex.

Senior Riley Baldwin started the game out with a bang. The Golden Eagles took the opening kickoff straight to the house as Baldwin capitalized off the feed from Samantha Guzman and scored her first goal of her career less than 40 seconds into the match.

ORU wouldn't stop there. Twenty minutes later, Ariana Fresquez found Gabrielle Abbey on the back end of a corner kick where Abbey headed the ball into the back of the net, her third score of the year.

The Golden Eagles controlled the remainder of the first half and took a 2-0 lead into the break.

Less than seven minutes into the second half, Jordyn Blackburn lofted a pass behind the defensive line where Samantha Guzman made a perfect run and headed the ball right past the keeper to stretch the lead to three.

To put an exclamation point on the night, senior Kennedy Langebartels connected with Gabrielle Abbey and Haley Nichols as she scored the final goal of the evening for ORU and earned her first goal of the season.

Inside the Box Score

The Golden Eagles stuffed the stat sheet in tonight's contest.

ORU outshot the Texans 33-2, with 21 of the shots coming in the second half alone.

Of the 33 shots of the Golden Eagles, 23 of them were on goal.

ORU controlled the corner kick battle from the get-go with 14 corners to Tarleton State's zero.

The Golden Eagles played a smart and calculated match, winning the possession battle 69% to 31%.

Gabrielle Abbey now leads ORU in goals on the season with three.

Eleven different Golden Eagles have found the back of the net this season.

Freshman keeper Makayla Gonzalez stepped in for an injured Alexa Riefer and recorded the first shutout of the year for
ORU, notching one save on the evening.

The Golden Eagles continue to utilize their depth on the bench as 25 players made an appearance tonight.
