ST. LOUIS, Mo. - The Oral Roberts men's tennis team claimed its second win of the weekend with a 5-2 victory at Saint Louis Saturday.
 
Ignacio Vinas and Ezequiel Monferrer won their second doubles match of the weekend with a 6-4 win at No. 1. With one match down, the Golden Eagles needed one more to claim the point. Kevin Leuenberger and Jonathan Evans came through and captured a 6-3 victory at No. 3 for their second doubles win of the weekend to claim the doubles point and put ORU up 1-0.
 
"What a great weekend from the guys," Director of Tennis Mark Milner said. "To get two tough road wins against solid teams is impressive. They came out fired up and ready to play in doubles and carried their energy through singles. I'm very proud of the guys this weekend and am looking forward to getting back to it next weekend in Corpus Christi at the HEB Invitational. Go Golden Eagles!"
 
In singles play, the Golden Eagles had four victories. Gustavo Pinho won 6-3, 6-3 at the number one position. Vinas won his second match of the day and fourth of the weekend with a 6-3, 7-6 win at No. 2. Monferrer also was victorious at No. 3 with a 6-4, 6-2 win. ORU claimed a three-set victory from Leuenberger who won 6-4, 2-6, 6-2 at No. 5. It was ORU's third 5-2 victory of the season.
 
Up Next: The Golden Eagles will participate in the HEB Invitational February 17-18 in Corpus Christi, Texas.
