TULSA, Okla. – The Oral Roberts men's soccer team will play its home opener Friday, September 2 against the Drake Bulldogs at 6 p.m. inside the Case Soccer Complex.

Quick Hits

• The Golden Eagles are 0-1-1 on the young season after falling at No. 12  SMU, 4-0, and claiming a tie against UTRGV, 1-1.
   
• ORU won all three of its exhibition matches by a combined score of 7-1. The Golden Eagles won 4-0 (Aug. 12) against USAO, 1-0 (Aug. 15) against Rogers State and 2-1 (Aug. 19) against Southern Nazarene all at home.
   
• Reed Berry and Felipe D'Agostini were named Summit League preseason Players to Watch.
   
• ORU returned five of its All-Summit League Team members which includes, Logan Bellone, Berry, D'Agostini, Giovanni Herrera and Eugene Quaynor.
   
• The Golden Eagles were picked second in the Summit League Preseason Coaches' Poll along with three first place votes.
   
• Head Coach Ryan Bush is back for his 10^th season at the helm for the Golden Eagles. Bush has a 69-62-20 all-time record at ORU as the men's soccer coach. Coach Bush was named 2019 & 2021 Summit League Coach of the Year.
   
• Overall, the Golden Eagles returned 20 players and added 13 newcomers to the 2022 squad.
   

Opponent Information
 

• Last season, the Bulldogs went 6-9 and 3-7 in Missouri Valley Conference play. Drake was picked to finish seventh in the 2022 MVC preseason coaches' poll. ORU is 3-6-1 all-time against the Bulldogs. In their last contest, ORU defeated Drake, 4-1, on August 30, 2019, at home.
   
• Drake is 1-0 on the season after a 1-0 victory on August 25 at Kansas City. The Bulldogs' game at Western Illinois was declared a no contest due to darkness.
