EDINBURG, Texas – The ORU men's soccer team ended Saturday evening's 90 minutes of action in a 1-1 draw at UTRGV in Edinburg, Texas.

Prior to the end of the first half, Carlos Santamaria put ORU on top, 1-0, with his first goal of the season in the 43^rd minute. Santamaria's goal was assisted by Reed Berry. The Golden Eagles' goal was scored on the team's lone shot in the first half.

UTRGV's Juan Pablo Gonzalez tied the game, 1-1, in the 83^rd minute. His goal was assisted by Yusuf Cueceoglu and Rasmus Steuch. The game ended in a 1-1 tie after 90 minutes of play due to a new NCAA Soccer rule to eliminate overtime in regular season matches beginning this season.
