TULSA, Okla. - The Oral Roberts women's tennis team earned its second league win of the season with a 4-3 victory at Omaha Saturday afternoon.
 
After Omaha claimed the doubles point to begin the dual, ORU would need to win four of the six singles matches on the road Saturday.
 
"I'm so incredibly proud of the fight in the ladies today," Director of Tennis Mark Milner said. "They showed a ton of grit and heart throughout the three hour match. Omaha is a tough team and a tough place to play and to get a conference win on the road after losing the doubles point is incredible. We are looking forward to getting back on our home courts on Thursday against Tulsa and Kansas City on Sunday."
 
Oleksandra Nahurska got things going to tie the dual, 1-1, with a 6-3, 6-0, victory at No. 1. Aliksandra Lebedeva made it 2-1 in favor of ORU with a 6-3, 6-4, win at No. 2 with four matches to go. After the Mavericks tied it 2-2, Reagan Miley regained the lead for the Golden Eagles with a 6-3, 6-4, win at No. 3 going into the final two matches. As Omaha managed to tie it again, 3-3, it came down to Zere Iskakova at the No. 6 position. Iskakova got the advantage after winning set one, 6-2. Set two came down to the wire, but she won in a 7-6 tiebreak to seal it for the Golden Eagles.
 
Up Next: ORU will host Tulsa Thursday, March 31 at 3 p.m. at the Bernis Duke Tennis Center.
