DALLAS - The Oral Roberts men's tennis team went 1-1 over the weekend with a loss at UT Arlington Friday and win over UT Dallas on Saturday.
 
The Golden Eagles fell short in their first match over the weekend. In the team's match against UT Arlington the difference came down to the doubles point. UT Arlington claimed the advantage by winning positions two and three with a 6-3 score.
 
After two matches in singles play, ORU saw itself down 3-0. Ignacio Vinas put ORU on the board first with a 7-5, 6-1 win at the No. 3 position. Volodymyr Zakharov continued to be undefeated with a 6-2, 6-4 win at No. 1. Ezequiel Monferrer tied the dual 3-3 with a 6-1, 7-6 win at the No. 2 spot. UT Arlington clinched the last point to win, 4-3.

In Saturday's match at UT Dallas, the Golden Eagles claimed the doubles point and won all three matches. Monferrer and Vinas got things going with a 6-1 win at No. 1. Aaron Brewer and Jonathan Brewer swept their No. 3 match, 6-0, to earn the doubles point. Zakharov and Kevin Leuenberger grabbed a win at the No. 2 spot, 6-2.
 
Evans earned the first singles point for ORU at the No. 6 spot, 6-2, 6-1. Vinas made it 3-0 in favor of the Golden Eagles with a 6-1, 6-1, win at No. 3. Leuenberger clinched the dual for ORU with his 6-3, 6-1 victory at No. 5. Zakharov remained undefeated earning a 6-2, 6-3 win at No. 1. Monferrer won at No. 2, 6-2, 6-3 and Aaron Brewer completed the shutout with a 6-4, 7-5 win at the No. 4 position.
