TULSA, Okla. – The Oral Roberts women's basketball team returns to action after the holiday break as they host Omaha in Summit League action Thursday, December 29 at 7 p.m. inside the Mabee Center.

• Senior Hannah Cooper led the Golden Eagles in scoring for the fourth straight contest as the guard finished with 16 points in a road loss at South Dakota on December 21. The El Paso, Texas, native tops ORU in scoring (20.3) on the season and her
points per game increase of 13.8 ranks third in the country.

• Entering Thursday's contest, Cooper ranks inside the top 3 in 11 different Summit League statistical categories and tops the conference in assists (60) and total points (264). Nationally, the senior sits ninth in total points, 10th in free throws made (68), 12th in field goals made (93) and 18th in points per game.

• Sharpshooter Delaney Nix currently ranks third among the conference in three-pointers made with 28. 

• The Golden Eagles continue to lead the Summit League in scoring offense, averaging 74.4 points per game.

• In Summit League home openers, ORU is 16-7 all-time and has won two of the last three.

• ORU is coming off a difficult non-conference slate that featured three 2022 NCAA Tournament qualifiers, four Power 5 opponents and seven road contests. 

• The Golden Eagles are led by head coach Kelsi Musick, who enters her first season at the helm. Musick and her staff returned six players from last season's squad and welcomed eight newcomers, three freshmen and five transfers, in the offseason.

• In her 14th season as a head coach, Musick holds a 262-135 career record.

• In the Summit League Preseason Coaches' Poll, the Golden Eagles were selected to finish third.


Inside the Matchup
• Thursday's contest marks the 17th meeting all-time between ORU and Omaha.

• The Golden Eagles lead the all-time series 13-3 and have won three straight against the Mavericks.

• Inside the Mabee Center, ORU is 6-1 all-time against Omaha.

• Thursday's matchup marks the Summit League opener for Omaha as they enter the contest with a 5-6 overall record.

•  Elena Pilakouta is the lone Maverick averaging double-digits on the season with 12.4 points per game. The graduate senior also leads the team in rebounding with 6.4 boards per game.

• In the Summit League Preseason Coaches' Poll, Omaha was picked to finish 10th.
