LAS VEGAS, Nev. – The Oral Roberts women's basketball team remains on the road as they faceoff against UNLV Friday evening inside Cox Pavilion. Tip-off is slated for 7:30 p.m. CST.

Friday's contest will be streamed on the Mountain West Network, while Ryan Breeden will have the call on the ORU Sports Network. Fans can also follow along with the game on ORU's Twitter, @ORUWBB.

• The Golden Eagles will look to bounce back after dropping their season opener on the road to No. 15 Oklahoma, 105-94, Monday afternoon.

• Preseason All-Summit League First Team selection Tirzah Moore led the Golden Eagles in the contest as the sophomore finished with 25 points and a career-high 17 rebounds for her fourth career double-double.

• On the offensive glass, Moore pulled down 11 boards, which were the most in the nation on opening night.

• Sara Rodrigues (16), Hannah Cooper (15) and Ruthie Udoumoh (15) joined Moore in double figures. For Rodrigues and Udoumoh, Monday's point totals marked career highs for the two transfers.

• ORU is currently in the midst of a difficult non-conference schedule that features three 2022 NCAA Tournament qualifiers, four Power 5 opponents and seven road contests.

• The Golden Eagles are led by head coach Kelsi Musick, who enters her first season at the helm. Musick and her staff returned six players from last season's squad and welcomed eight newcomers, three freshmen and five transfers, in the offseason.

• In her 14th season as a head coach, Musick holds a 259-126 career record.

• In the Summit League Preseason Coaches' Poll, the Golden Eagles were selected to finish third.


Inside the Matchup

• Friday's contest marks the third meeting all-time between ORU and UNLV.

• The Lady Rebels have won both matchups in the series, including last season's meeting in Tulsa, Oklahoma, 85-81.

• UNLV, the Mountain West Conference preseason favorites, defeated Pepperdine, 81-58, in their season opener Monday night.

• The Lady Rebels are led by returners and 2021-22 All-Mountain West Conference selections Desi-Rae Young, Essence Booker, Justice Ethridge and Alyssa Durazo-Frescas.
