MACOMB, Ill. – Three Golden Eagles recorded two goals each as the Oral Roberts men's soccer team handled Western Illinois, 8-0, Saturday afternoon in Macomb, Illinois.

It was all ORU Saturday as the Golden Eagles scored four goals in the first half and another four in the second. Back-to-back penalty kicks put ORU up 2-0 early. Felipe D'Agostini scored his fifth goal on a penalty in the 23rd minute followed by Felipe Medina with a good penalty goal in the 25th minute for his second goal of the season.

Medina captured his second goal of the game and third of the season in the 41st minute. Medina scored from 20 yards out from the center off a pass from Shane Anderson. Anderson earned the assist. Romulo Bosqueiro scored his first goal of the season to put ORU on top, 4-0, with two minutes remaining in the first half. Josselyn Petel centers the ball on a cross from the right to Bosqueiro for the goal. To close out the first half, ORU out-shot the Leathernecks 10-3 and had seven shots on goal.

D'Agostini opened the second half with his second goal of the game and sixth of the season to put ORU up, 5-0. In the 50th minute, Reed Berry sent a throw in into the penalty area to Anderson who then tapped the ball to D'Agostini to score from 10 yards out. It was Anderson's second assist on the day.

Anderson then scored back-to-back goals of his own within two minutes of each other. Andrew Nunez sent a pass forward to Anderson to score in the lower right quadrant to make it 6-0. Nunez was credited with the assist. Anderson had his second goal of the day and fifth of the season with a header goal from six yards out on a cross by Joel Quashie to give ORU a 7-0 lead. Juan Moreno scored the eighth and final goal for ORU in the 67th minute. Schinieder Mimy crossed the ball into the penalty area for Moreno to slide in a score his first goal of the season.

For the Golden Eagles, eight goals is the second most goals in a single game in ORU program history. It also ties the 10th most goals in a match in league history and fifth most in a league match.
