TULSA, Okla. – The Oral Roberts men's soccer team will open the 2021 regular season hosting No. 16 Loyola Marymount Thursday, Aug. 26, at 8 p.m. inside the Case Soccer Complex.

Quick Hits

• Last season, the Golden Eagles went 8-4-1, 6-3-1 on the season to finish third in the Summit League.
   
• ORU won both its exhibition games in the preseason beginning with a 3-1 win over USAO and a 1-0 victory over Northeastern State.
   
• Reed Berry and Dante Brigida were named Summit League preseason Players to Watch.
   
• ORU returns six of its All-Summit League Team members which includes, Juan Arias, Reed Berry, Dante Brigida, Francisco Lopez, Miles Motakef and Josselyn Petel. Brigida was named Summit League Offensive Player of the Year in 2020.
   
• The Golden Eagles were picked second in the Summit League Preseason Coaches' Poll along with one first place vote.
   
• Head Coach Ryan Bush is back for his ninth season at the helm for the Golden Eagles. After five seasons, Bush has a 58-59-17 record at ORU as the men's soccer coach. Coach Bush was named 2019 Summit League Coach of the Year.
   
• Overall, the Golden Eagles returned 19 players and added 15 newcomers to the 2021 squad.

Opponent Information

• Last season, the Lions went 6-0-3 and 5-0-2 in West Coast Conference play. The finished the season ranked No. 17 in the country according to the United Soccer Coaches poll.
   
• Loyola Marymount was selected to win the WCC in the conference's preseason poll. Noel Caliskan and Jacob Jackson were named to the preseason All-WCC team.
