• ORU earned the No. 4 seed after sweeping Western Illinois at home needing a double-digit rally in the second half winning 85-81 in game one before a 95-59 blowout to close the regular season. • The Golden Eagles are 22-16 all-time at The Summit League/Mid-Continent Conference Championships and enter the tournament as the No. 4 seed for the second-straight year and third time overall. As the fourth seed, ORU holds a 1-2 record after picking up a win over Omaha a season ago in the quarterfinals, its first tournament win since 2015.
• The Golden Eagles landed three on the All-Summit League teams highlighted by Abmas being honored as Player of the Year, the eighth in school history (in any conference) and first since Dominique Morrison in 2011-12. He was joined on the First Team by Kevin Obanor as the pair is the highest scoring duo in the nation combining for 953 points this season. It's the ninth time ORU has had two, First Team selections and first in The Summit League since Robert Jarvis and Marcus Lewis earned the honor in 2008-09, while Damen Bell-Holter and Warren Niles were First Team honorees in 2012-13 as members of the Southland Conference. • After recording his ninth-straight game with at least 20 points, Abmas closed the weekend as the NCAA's leading scorer averaging 24.7 points per game and needs just nine points to reach 1,000 for his career where he would be the 37th in school history.
