SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - The Oral Roberts men's tennis team fell in a close 4-3 match to Saint Louis Friday afternoon.
 
ORU jumped out to a 1-0 lead by winning the doubles point. Marcello Moreira and Volodymyr Zakharov won at No. 1, 6-2. Eddy Leardini and Meg Siritaworachan claimed the point with a 7-6 win at No. 3.
 
In singles action, Zakharov won 6-0, 6-2, to get the team's second point at No. 1. Albert Chudy earned the third point with a 7-6, 6-2 victory at No. 3. The remaining four singles matches all went to three sets. Leardini fell in a close second and third set, 5-7, 5-7, at No. 5 after winning set one, 6-2.
 
Up Next: ORU will take on Southwestern Tuesday, March 23 at 11 a.m. at the Bernis Duke Tennis Center.
