BURLINGTON, Iowa – The No. 18 Oral Roberts men's soccer team dropped its first league match of the season, 1-0, at Western Illinois Thursday afternoon.

Cesar Cosio kicked the ball into the box that first found Daisuke Otsuka. After Otsuka's shot was blocked, Kyle Owen scored the ball into the goal in the fourth minute.

- ORU had 11 shots on the day with four on goal. WIU had 10 shots with two on goal in the game.
- Miles Motakef started and played 17 minutes. Patrick Consol played the remaining 73 minutes and recorded one save, his first of the season.
- The Golden Eagles had three corner kicks in the game.
- There were 20 fouls in the match and five cards were handed out.
