OMAHA, Neb. – An early lead was not enough for the Oral Roberts women's soccer team as they fell to conference foe Omaha 2-1 on Sunday.
ORU found the back of the net almost instantly when
Christa Van Loon scored in the second minute, giving the Golden Eagles a 1-0 advantage. The goal marked the first goal of Van Loon's collegiate career.
Omaha netted a pair of goals before halftime to take a 2-1 advantage into halftime.
In the second half, neither team managed to find the net, with the score remaining 2-1 for the final 45 minutes.
