Quick Hits
• ORU finished its second-straight season with a winning record at 18-11 last year and closed on a seven-game winning streak before falling in the NCAA Sweet 16.

• After making a splash on the national stage as the top scorer in the country a season ago, junior guard Max Abmas is becoming a household name heading into the 2021-22 campaign. He was named a Preseason All-American by three publications and is on the watch list for numerous awards, including the NABC Player of the Year and Bob Cousy Point Guard of the Year.

• Despite winning the tournament title last year, ORU was picked to finish third in The Summit League Preseason Poll, behind South Dakota State and North Dakota State.

• ORU led the nation in 3-pointers made per game (11.1) and free throw percentage (82.1), while it had the 14th-highest scoring average in the NCAA posting 81.1 points per game.

• The Golden Eagles return 10 letterwinners and add five new faces for 2021-22 with two transfers (Issac McBride, Trey Phipps) and three freshmen (Sir Issac Herron, Elijah Lawrence, Luka Tekavcic).

Scouting the Opponent
• The Golden Eagles hold a 1-3 record in the all-time series against Colorado State, but have not played the Rams since Feb. 11, 1989. It will be ORU's third trip to Fort Collins as it seeks its first win away from home having dropped the previous two meetings in 1982 and 1988.

• Coming off a 20-8 record and an appearance in the NIT Final Four a season ago, CSU was picked to win the Mountain West Conference for the first time in program history. The Rams return three All-Mountain West players (Isaiah Stevens, David Roddy, Adam Thistlewood), all five starters, nine letterwinners and more than 90 percent of their scoring, rebounds, assists and minutes from last year's squad.

• Roddy was named to the 2021-22 Karl Malone Award Watch List as one of the 20 top power forwards in the nation after leading CSU in scoring (15.9 ppg) and rebounding (9.4 rpg) last year.
