TULSA, Okla. - The Oral Roberts men's tennis team fell 7-0 Friday evening at Tulsa.
 
The Golden Eagles dropped the doubles point to give Tulsa an early 1-0 advantage. ORU fell at the No. 1 and No. 3 positions, 6-3 and 6-2 at No. 2.
 
After trailing early in the match, 3-0, Eddy Leardini battled at the No. 5 spot in set one, but fell short in a 6-7 tiebreak and dropped set two, 6-2, to give Tulsa a 4-0 advantage. After falling in set one, 3-6, Volodymyr Zakharov sent the No. 1 matchup to a third set after winning set two, 6-3.
 
Zakharov sent the third game into a super tiebreak, but fell 4-10. Scott Hjelm won set two at the No. 6 spot, 7-5 send the match to set three and a super tiebreak, but fell 5-10. Andre Russo fell short 5-7 in a set one tiebreak, but came back in set two to win the 7-5 tiebreak. Tulsa claimed the seventh point, in a 10-6 super tiebreak.
 
Up Next: ORU will travel to Abilene, Texas, to face Abilene Christian Friday, February 5.
