TULSA, Okla. – The Oral Roberts men's basketball team starts a busy stretch of games starting at home Tuesday night at 7 p.m. against Bacone live on the ORU Sports Network and follows with a road challenge at Oklahoma Wednesday night at 7 p.m.
The Golden Eagles play three games over the next six days, including twice against Power Five opponents, to close their non-conference part of the 2020-21 schedule.

Scouting the Opponent (Bacone)
• The Golden Eagles have never played Bacone in the 56-year history of basketball on campus as Tuesday will be the first-ever meeting between the two teams.
• The Warriors have dropped six-straight games after their only win of the 2020-21 season, a 95-69 victory at home against Southwestern Adventist Nov. 10.
 
• La'Corian Ballard paces the high-scoring BC offense averaging 19.6 ppg, while Dean Austin (17.2), Jacoby Durant (15.4) and Joe Byrd (11.1) also score in double digits per game. Ballard has a pair of 30-plus point outings this season and scored at least 20 points five times.
 
Scouting the Opponent (Oklahoma)
• The Golden Eagles are just 2-16 in the all-time series when facing Oklahoma and 1-10 on the road. ORU has lost the last 16 meetings with the Sooners dating back to 1982, including the last matchup in 2016, a 92-66 setback.
• The Sooners picked up an 85-54 win over Florida A&M Saturday to bounce back from a 22-point loss at Xavier in the Big 12/Big East Battle Dec. 9.
 
• Brady Manek, brother of former ORU letter winner Kellen Manek, averages 17.5 ppg to pace OU converting 54 percent of his 3-point attempts ranking 24th nationally. The Sooners sit ninth in the NCAA hitting 82 percent of free throws and 11th with a 1.8:1 assist to turnover ratio.
 
Quick Hits
• ORU shot 57 percent overall and hit 19 3-pointers in a 111-58 win over Southwestern Christian Saturday as five players scored in double figures. The bench scored 77 points, including a career-best 15 from Justin Lovvorn as the redshirt senior hit 5-of-7 from distance to lead ORU.
 
• The Golden Eagles are third in the NCAA hitting 13.6 3-pointers per contest and 11th connecting on 68 total triples. Max Abmas is 18th in the nation individually making 3.6 per game from deep.
 
• ORU tallied a season-high 26 assists on 39 made baskets in Saturday's win over the Eagles as Carlos Jürgens and Jamie Bergens set career highs with a team-best six assists each.
 
• Obanor (First Team) and Abmas (Second Team) earned Preseason All-Summit League honors and are ORU's top scorers combining for 45 percent of the team's offense. Abmas ranks 36th in the NCAA in points per game (20.8), which ranks second in The Summit League. Obanor is fifth in the conference in scoring (17.6) and is second in the league averaging 9.0 rebounds per game.
 
• ORU was picked to finish second in The Summit League Preseason Poll behind only defending regular season co-champion South Dakota State.
 
• The Golden Eagles have eight new faces for 2020-21 with two grad transfers (RJ Glasper, Justin Lovvorn), two junior college transfers (Sheldon Stevens, Kareem Thompson) and four freshmen (Jonathan Alexandre, Jamie Bergens, Nate Clover III, Ismael Plet).
