TULSA, Okla. – The Oral Roberts men's basketball season is finally here as the Golden Eagles are set to begin the 2020-21 campaign on the road in SEC country at Missouri Wednesday night at 6 p.m.
Tip-off is slated for 6 p.m. and available to watch on the SEC Network+ from inside Mizzou Arena, while

Scouting the Opponent
• The Golden Eagles are just 1-8 all-time against Missouri having dropped dropped three straight in the series, including an 80-64 setback Dec. 7, 2018, and are 0-6 in games played on the road.
• The Tigers are coming off a 15-16 overall record a season ago and a 10th-place finish in the SEC. Missouri's Dru Smith was a Second Team All-SEC selection on the coaches' preseason squad.
• Missouri returns four starters and nine of 10 letter winners from a season ago accounting for 99.1 percent of its scoring, including each of its top seven scorers led by Smith's 12.7 per game.

• ORU turns to a roster featuring seven returning letterwinners and eight newcomers as it looks to build on its first winning season in five years having posted a 17-14 record last season.

Kevin Obanor and sophomore
Max Abmas recently earned Preseason All-Summit League honors as Obanor landed on the first team and Abmas on the second team. The two are ORU's top returning scorers combining to average 26.8 points per game in 2019-20.
• ORU was picked to finish second in The Summit League Preseason Poll, behind only defending regular season co-champion South Dakota State.
• ORU ranked ninth in the NCAA a season ago for fewest team turnovers and set a program record giving the ball away just 321 times. That helped the Golden Eagles rank 10th in the nation for scoring offense averaging 80.2 points per game.
• The Golden Eagles have eight new faces for 2020-21 with two grad transfers (

Justin Lovvorn), two junior college transfers (
Sheldon Stevens,
