McAllen, Texas - The Oral Roberts men's tennis team defeated Chicago State 4-3 Wednesday afternoon in the team's first of four spring break matches in McAllen, Texas.

The Golden Eagles claimed the doubles points Wednesday winning at the No. 1 and 2 spots. Jan Pehnec and Kenneth Boykin secured the point with a 6-4 win, while Marcello Moreira and Alvaro Santamaria finished first with a 6-2 victory. Eddy Leardini and Scott Hjelm claimed a win at the No. 3 spot by default.

Moreira also won at the No. 4 singles position with a 6-4, 6-2 victory. Leardini and Hjelm both won by defaut at the No. 5 and 6 singles spots.

Up Next: ORU will take on Prairie View A&M Thursday, March 22 at 9 a.m. in Brownsville, Texas.
