The Short Story: The Oral Roberts men's tennis team fell 4-0 Saturday against No. 48 Denver in The Summit League Tournament Finals at the Miracle Hill Tennis Center in Omaha.
The Golden Eagles finish their season at 14-10 after advancing to The Summit League Championship match for the first time since 2010.
ORU narrowly missed the first point of the match after Jan Pehnec and Kenneth Boykin upset 37th-ranked Henry Craig and Alex Gasson at No. 1 doubles, 6-3. The win pushed the duo's record to 6-4 this season.
After finishing off No. 2 and No. 3 doubles the Pioneers led through singles play with wins at the No. 2, No. 3 and No. 5 positions.
Michael Sosnowski fell at the No. 5 position, 6-1, 6-2 as his five match win streak was snapped. He also finished the season with a team-high 15 wins.
