Brookings, S.D. – South Dakota State led from start to finish Thursday night taking a 60-48 victory over the Oral Roberts women's basketball team in Summit League action.

The Golden Eagles saw their four game road win streak come to an end as they were unable to overcome a cold night shooting. ORU shot just 31 percent in the game but fell behind after shooting just 27 percent in the first half.

Jordan Doyle and Maria Martianez each scored nine points to lead ORU as Martianez also finished with seven boards and four assists.

South Dakota State was led by Macy Miller's 14 points and 11 from Ellie Thompson. Clarissa Ober tallied nine points and 11 boards for the Jackrabbits.

TURNING POINT
After trailing by 16 points in the first half ORU cut the SDSU lead to nine at halftime, 33-24. However, SDSU opened the third quarter on an 11-2 run building an 18 point before holding onto a 60-48 win.

THE LEADERS
Oral Roberts: Maria Martianez tallied nine points while adding seven rebounds and four assists. Jordan Doyle also finished with nine points and two steals.
SDSU: Macy Miller scored a game-high 14 points while Clarissa Ober added nine points and 11 rebounds. 

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- ORU shot below 33 percent from the field for the third time this season in Summit League action.
- ORU lost the rebounding battle 39-34 for the first time in five games.
- It was the second time this season no players for ORU scored in double figures.
- South Dakota State sweeps the season series against ORU and has won the last six meetings.
