CHICAGO, Ill. – The Oral Roberts University men's tennis team won its second straight match Sunday morning taking a 6-1 victory over Chicago State to close out its northern road swing.
The Golden Eagles inched closer to the .500 mark on the season after again dominating doubles play. ORU stands at 6-7 on the season and 1-1 in the Summit League after posting a convincing win over the former Summit League foe.
Contributions from the bottom of the lineup again helped ORU close out Chicago State with a shutout at No. 5 singles from Michael Sosnowski and another solid performance from Ciaran Lavers at No. 6 singles.

- Michael Sosnowski picked up his team-best third straight win and evened his singles record to 6-6 with a dominate 6-0, 6-0 win.
- Ciaran Lavers cruised at No. 6 singles with a 6-2, 6-0 victory. He improved to 3-2 at No. 6 singles and 6-6 on the season.
- Jan Pehnec turned in another dominate performance at No. 3 singles with a 6-0, 6-3 win over Christian Gonzalez. Pehnec won his second straight and is now 7-5 on the year.
- Sosnowski teamed with Braxton Bates to win their third straight at No. 3 doubles with an 8-6 victory. The duo improved to 3-3.
- Amar Saletovic won his team best seventh win in singles with a hard-fought 5-7, 6-4, 10-8 win over Mario Noboa.
Up Next
ORU returns home to host Cowley County CC next Saturday at LaFortune Park in Tulsa. Action is set for a 2 p.m. start.
