McIntyre continued to break records Friday night but it was not
enough as the Oral Roberts University women's basketball team fell
66-52 to South Dakota State inside the Mabee Center.
McIntyre tallied 27 points, 13 rebounds and four blocks as
she set the ORU single-season record for blocks (121) and
double-doubles. The senior earned her 20th double-double of the
season which currently the second best mark in the nation while
also crossing the 1,000 point plateau for her career.
South Dakota State used a hot shooting first half to build a
39-26 lead over the Golden Eagles before intermission. The
Jackrabbits got 18 points from Macy Miller who was one of three
SDSU players to finish in double figures.
ORU struggled offensively shooting just 38 percent in the
game, but it was the slow start that the Golden Eagles were unable
to overcome that included 12-of-28 shooting and 11 turnovers. SDSU
made just three more field goals in the game however they also made
four three-pointers as ORU finished without a three-pointer
(0-for-6) for the first time since the 2007-08 season.
The Turning Point
South Dakota State finished
the first half on a 17-5 run building a lead they would not
relinquish. The Jackrabbits' Macy Miller hit a three-pointer at the
17:15 mark in the second half, extending their lead to 15 points -
the largest of the game - as SDSU was able to hold off the Golden
Eagles in the second half.

McIntyre had a game-high 27 points and 13 rebounds for her
20th double-double of the season. Faith
Ihim added eight points and a season-high five assists.
SDSU: Macy Miller had a team-high 18 points as
Mariah Clarin added 14 points and pulled down eight
rebounds.

Score
- The Golden Eagles shot below 40
percent for the first time in five games. The last time was a 28
percent shooting night at South Dakota State (1/29/15).
- Friday night was the first time all season the Golden Eagles did
not make a three-point attempt (0-for-6) since going without a
three-pointer against Texas Southern (0-for-23) on December 1,
2007.
- Vicky
McIntyre recorded her seventh 20-point 10-rebound game of the
season. It was also the seventh consecutive game she has scored in
double figures.
- Dorottya
Balla went 1-for-2 from the free throw line snapping a streak
of 21 straight free throws made.

Notes
- The loss snaps a seven game winning
streak at the Mabee Center for ORU. It is also the first Summit
League loss at home since falling to South Dakota, 60-57, January
30, 2012.
- Vicky
McIntyre set the ORU single-season record for double-doubles in
a season with her 20th. She passes Vivian Herron (1988-89) and
Elisha Turek (2006-07) on the list.
- McIntyre's four blocks gives her 121 and passes Kisa Bradley's
(95-96) mark of 119 blocks on the year.
- McIntyre now holds the ORU single-season records for
double-doubles, blocks and rebounds. Her 15.7 rpg would also rank
first (Vivian Herron (88-89) averaged 11.2rpg).
- McIntyre also surpassed 1,000 career points which includes two
seasons at Oklahoma State and one each at Florida and ORU. She
currently has 1,020 points.

The Golden Eagles hit the road for the
final time during the regular season for a quick two game road trip
starting at Western Illinois Thursday. Tip-off from Western Hall is
