DALLAS, Texas - The Oral Roberts University
men's soccer team dropped its second consecutive match on Friday as
the Golden Eagles were shutout 2-0 by SMU in Dallas, Texas.
ORU fell to 2-2-1 on the season, while the Mustangs reached the
.500 mark at 3-3-0.
Just before halftime, in the 43rd minute, SMU scored
its first goal of the match as Joseph Benjamin slipped a shot into
the net to put the Mustangs up 1-0. Jordan Cano extended the
Mustang lead in the 57th minute with a header off a
corner kick by Bryce Clark, making it 2-0.
Turning Point
Joseph Benjamin gave the home team a 1-0 lead heading into
halftime with an unassisted goal in the 43rd minute from
the top of the penalty area.
Inside the Box Score
- Both ORU and SMU combined for just 13 shots in the match.

Salkicic had ORU's only shot on goal in the 81st
minute.
