McIntyre set an Oral Roberts University single-game record for
rebounds with 27 and added 22 points to help the Golden Eagles hold
off Austin Peay 73-60 at the Southern Mississippi Thanksgiving
Classic.
The redshirt senior's day was compiled mostly in the first
half as she had 20 points and 20 rebounds at intermission with ORU
holding a 31-25 lead. McIntyre's 27 rebounds also set the Reed
Green Coliseum record for boards in a game.
ORU hit a season-best six three-pointers as Dorottya
Balla finished with 14 points on 3-of-6 from behind the arc.
Freshmen Jayden
Oliver - who earned her first collegiate start - joined Jordan
Doyle with a pair of three-pointers as well to help stave off
the Lady Govs second half rally.
The Turning
Point
The Golden Eagles went on a 14-2 run
midway through the second half that started with a Carolina
Lopez jumper and Jayden
Oliver three-pointer. ORU then extended what was a five point
lead to a 20 point advantage when Dorottya
Balla hit a three at the 7:15 mark, giving ORU a 67-47 lead as
the Golden Eagles never looked back.

McIntyre set an ORU single-game record with 27 rebounds and
added 22 points.
Austin Peay: Tiasha Gray finished with 20 points
and eight steals for the Lady Govs.

- McIntyre broke Veronica Franklin's
single-game record 24 rebounds from Jan. 17, 1981 vs. Tulsa.
- The 20 assists for ORU were the most since last season's 20 in
the opener vs. USAO on Nov. 8, 2013.
- ORU pulled down 57 rebounds as a team Saturday as it was also
the first time since Feb. 27, 2014 vs. Lamar that the Golden Eagles
eclipsed the 50 rebound mark.
News & Notes
- ORU won its first game away from the Mabee Center since March
16, 2013 vs. Sam Houston State at the Southland Conference
Tournament in Katy, Texas.
- The Golden Eagles finish their road swing 1-2 and will play
their next three games at home.
- ORU will play four of their final six games of the semester
inside the Mabee Center with the two lone road trips at Kansas
State and Wisconsin.
