GREELEY, Colo. -
Oral Roberts University fell to Northern Colorado, 7-0, on
Tuesday night at Butler-Hancock Courts.
Northern Colorado (5-4) took all three doubles matches for the
first point of the day. On the top court, Brandon Lupo and Ben
Gendron took down ORU's Fabian Zierleyn and Jason Mechali, 8-5. Mitchel knight and Eric
Schuermans won the second court, 8-6, over Parker Allen and Nathaniel Avery, while Michael Moya and Jordan
Loughnan teamed for a 9-7 victory over Braxton Bates and Gabriel Kanelopoulos.
ORU (0-11) fell in all three doubles matches. Lupo won the top
court, 6-1, 6-3, over Zierleyn, and Gendron bested Mechali on court
two, 6-2, 6-1. Knight scored a 6-3, 3-6, 10-8 victory over Allen on
court three, and Loughnan was a 6-2, 6-1 winner over Avery in the
fourth flight. Schuermans polished off Bates on court five, 6-1,
6-4, and Moya was victorious over Kanelopoulos on the final court,
6-0, 6-0.
ORU will complete their Colorado road trip on Wednesday afternoon
with a match at Metro State.
