NACOGDOCHES, Texas - Stephen F. Austin welcomed
the Oral Roberts women's soccer program to the Southland Conference
on Monday as the Golden Eagles took part in their first conference
match. However, the party was one sided as the Golden Eagles fell
to the Ladyjacks in Texas, 5-0.
The loss drops the Golden Eagles to 6-4-2 on the season,
snapping a five game streak without a losing decision. In a match
originally scheduled for Sunday that was postponed due to field
conditions, the five goals the Golden Eagles allowed was the most
this season.
They will return to action at home on Friday when they host
Northwestern State (La.) for a conference contest. Earlier this
season, the Golden Eagles topped the Lady Demons of NSU in Tulsa,
5-0.

Golden Eagles, holding ORU to just two shots on the afternoon, both
of which were on goal.
ORU's first opportunity came during the first in the

the cake for the Ladyjacks.

minute, Christie Hinojosa found sophomore in front of the net or
finished the play to put the Ladyjacks up 1-0. Just under two
minutes later, Prince set up Louw's first goal of the match, who
blasted the ball from about 20 yards out.
Louw tacked on her second goal of the match in the
40th minute to put her team up 3-0 on a pass from Brenda
Salazar. In the 73rd minute, Prince extended the
Ladyjack lead to 4-0 after scoring an unassisted goal from 15 yards
out.
