TULSA - The
Oral Roberts University women's tennis team dropped a 7-0 decision
in their season opener to No. 36 Tulsa on Saturday morning at the
Michael D. Case Tennis Center.
The doubles
team of Tori Dollar (Waxahachie, Texas) and
Ekaterina Kondrashova (Moscow, Russia) fell by a
score of 8-1 to Tulsa's duo of Rebecca Row and Jie Zeng at the No.
3 doubles position, while Ana Costa (Brasilia, Brazil)
and Kristin Gray (Tulsa, Okla.) dropped an 8-3
decision to JoAnne Karaitana and Alexandra Kichoutkin at the No. 2
spot to drop the match's first point.
The Golden
Eagles dropped all six singles positions in straight sets. Costa
won the most games with three in a 6-2, 6-1 loss, while Tulsa's
Michelle Farley downed Dollar at the No. 6 position by a score of
6-0, 6-0 to claim the match.
ORU returns
to action against Memphis tonight at 7:00 p.m.
