ORU Men's Tennis Opens Season at No. 13 Tulsa

TULSA, Okla. – The Oral Roberts University men's tennis team will kick off the 2009 season against No. 13 Tulsa at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday night at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center.

"We have our top two returners back, and we've added four newcomers, so we have a nice mix of veterans and freshmen," said ORU men's tennis head coach Chris Milliron. "We should have a strong squad again this season."

The Golden Eagles are led by Oleksandr Kotsuik (Kiev, Ukraine), who became only the third player in Summit League history to earn both Player of the Year and Newcomer of the Year honors in the same season a year ago.

Dario Beslic (Posvsje, Bosnia), Alexander Dargel (Hamburg, Germany) and Carlos Salazar (Tulsa, Okla.) also return from last year's squad that captured the Summit League title and made an NCAA Tournament appearance.

Four newcomers join the Golden Eagles for the 2009 season, including Andrey Savin (Korolev, Russia), Peter Sullivan (Jenks, Okla.), Dmitry Suslov (Novgorod, Russia) and Matt Tansil.
